About The Client

Camrose & District Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) is an organization that offers preventative social support services that inform and improve the well-being of individuals, families and communities.

Under their umbrella they have over 25 different services, programs, and initiatives broken up into 6 service groups that each require a unique audience and strategy for marketing.

The Challenges

Following a major organizational restructuring, existing marketing touchpoints and materials no longer aligned with the updated direction. They were also looking for an updated marketing and communication plan, and a social media plan.

Early conversations revealed that the challenges went beyond, uncovering deeper issues such as a lack of defined processes and direction.

My Approach

To address the uncertainty and create a clear path forward, I facilitated a strategy session to gain a deeper understanding of their target audience, goals, and priorities. From there, we developed a plan that focused on key marketing efforts aligned with their updated direction.

The Solution

The plan we developed outlined clear marketing goals and the tasks required to implement them, including the creation of a new website, streamlining social media, and establishing brand consistency.

In addition to these key actions, we focused on addressing deeper challenges, such as the lack of defined processes and direction. This comprehensive approach helped to not only resolve immediate gaps but also set the organization on a path to more cohesive, long-term marketing success.

Given the scale of their organization and the tasks at hand, we continue to work together to refine and implement marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with their evolving needs and maintaining consistency across all channels."

The Results

Since focusing on a consistent message and branding the community has responded positively, has a better understanding of FCSS's role in the community, and they have seen an increase in community involvement.

Their main email has seen a significant increase in people reaching out to inquire about programs, volunteer opportunities, and express appreciation of how Camrose & District FCSS supports the community.

Their new  website has seen a user increase of 60% over the previous year and makes updating tasks easier.

Nice words from my partners

Avril spends so much time with each department and staff members, asking questions to gain an in-depth comprehensive understanding of what we do, and getting to the "why" of each service/program.  I feel like she could easily be an employee rather than a consultant because she knows the nuances of our whole organization.
