About The Client

Teen Time is a non-profit organization, located in Edmonton, Alberta, that is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment where young people can learn, grow and have fun.

I first connected with Teen Time when they were looking for a new designer, someone who understood their needs and could help them update their brand and eventually their website. What started as a design project grew into a multi-year partnership, one that I’m proud to be a part of.

The Challenges

In 2023, it had been 15 years since Teen Time updated their website. At that time their website had mismatched branding, very little information that their users needed, lacked mobile responsiveness and was horribly placed within the search rankings.

My Approach

We developed an approach that prioritized Teen Time’s audience, ensuring the website provided the information they needed in a clear and accessible way.

The Solution

To ensure a user-first experience, we restructured the website with clear navigation making it easy for visitors to find the information they needed. We modernized the design to create a cohesive look that aligned with Teen Time’s brand, ensured full mobile responsiveness, and implemented basic SEO best practices to improve visibility and accessibility.

Additionally, we built the website centered around a CMS, allowing their team to easily update content and keep information current without technical barriers.

The Results

Since the launch of their redesigned website, Teen Time has experienced a significant boost in SEO rankings, resulting in a threefold increase in organic search traffic.

Additionally, the implementation of user-first design and focus on information within the website has not only attracted more visitors but has also notably saved time for the organization by reducing incoming calls for information.

Nice words from my partners

Avril walked us through each step of the design and build stages in a patient manner, explaining what our responsibilities and goals were and when to meet them. We have received amazing feedback on our new website and how much more information is available for both parents and kids.
